Founder of JAMCHA Foundation, Inc., Dr. McCurdy is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, entrepreneur, and healthcare leader committed to advancing health literacy, improving access to care, and building generational health across North Carolina and beyond.

A Public Health professional with extensive experience in community outreach and engagement, Korean leads JAMCHA’s strategic initiatives and youth-focused health literacy efforts.

Board Member

Dr. Barnes is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Edgecombe County Public Schools and a
lifelong advocate for education, health equity, and systemic change. She brings extensive experience in community engagement, youth programs, and policy advocacy to the JAMCHA Foundation.

and climate researcher dedicated to environmental health, youth advocacy, and advancing equity in underserved communities.
